John Kerry says the Bush Administration is politicizing the transfer of power in Iraq which calls for the June 30 deadline to had control back to Iraqis. Kerry says it’s all fiction.
Bush’s approval numbers are at an all-time low – 43%.
NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg asks the federal government to completely reopen the Statue of Liberty to visitors – closed since the Sept. 11 attacks. “Let’s standup and have some guts… Let’s get it open.”
Spain – Three suspects in last month’s railway bombings blow themselves up as police closed in on them – but one police officer was also killed.
Unemployment inches down to 5.7% from 5.8%.
