Envoy out - U.S. officials say Jose Imperatori, vice consul at the Cuban Interests Section in Washington – is expelled from the country because he was spying.
Former President George Bush is admitted to a hospital with an irregular heartbeat after feeling ill at a reception.
John McCain wins primaries in Arizona and Michigan.
John McCain talks tough to the Christian right – calling George W. Bush a “Pat Robertson Republican who will lose to Al Gore.”
China warned Taiwan that dragging out negotiations for reunification might provoke the mainland to attack.

Betty Lou Beets – a 62-year-old woman was executed by injection after Gov. George W. Bush rejected her claim that she killed her fifth husband in self-defense and deserved a reprieve. She’s the fourth woman to be executed in the U.S. since the Supreme Court in 1976 allowed the death penalty to resume.

Tonya Harding is in trouble again. The former figure skater is arrested for allegedly throwing a hubcap at her live-in boyfriend and punching him in the face. Her live-in boyfriend of three years, Darren Silver, face bloodied and bruised, said his girlfriend was hooking like Mike Tyson.
In New York – Oscar de La Hoya KO’s Derrell Coley in the 7th round at Madison Square Garden.

Fox-TV’s “Who Wants Marry A Multi-Millionaire” is in tatters as the bride – Darva Conger and groom Rick Rockwell want the marriage annulled. Conger told ABC’s Diane Sawyer she was naïve about the process and “didn’t know how to escape” after Rockwell chose her from among the 50 contestants at the end of the special, which drew 23 million viewers. The producers didn’t bother checking the background of Rockwell, who , it was revealed – once faced allegations on abusing an ex-girlfriend.
He’s back - David Letterman brings on his six doctors and two nurses and told the audience they saved his life after having quintuple bypass surgery. He’d been out for five weeks.
